Subtractive
CNC Swiss bar stock machining is one of the most accurate machining methods capable of repeatable tolerances to +/- .0001”. APEX CNC Swiss, Inc. focuses on this specialty machining to 32mm maximum diameter in various materials ranging from nickel alloys, titanium, aluminum, copper, bronze, composites, plastics (polyamide, Teflon, nylon, polycarbonate, acrylic, etc.) and advanced specialty alloys.
Additive
Powder Bed Fusion technology (PBF) has been proven in demanding applications. PBF projects focus on nickel based and copper alloys for turnkey additive solutions in build sizes 280mm x 280mm x 350mm. As an early adopter of 3D printing, APEX initially focused on desktop filament pritners to produce geometrically specific work holding systems and worked with early powder bed fusion technologies, specifically the Phenix system. We are convinced that one must understand subtractive manufacturing processes in order to fully understand additive possibilities.
